Swadlincote Surgery is a 10 GP Partner health practice that cares for the primary care health needs of 14000 patients. We have vacancies for two part time Patient Co-ordinators to work in our busy Reception Team. The role is front of house and involves a significant amount of patient contact and care.

Daily tasks and responsibilities include -

Managing patient requests in person, on the phone and via written communication

Booking, amending, rescheduling and cancelling patient appointments

Distributing prescriptions

Action patient care follow- up arrangements as per clinicians instructions

Advising patients of chargeable services and processing payments

Providing patients with information about the Practice Services

General housekeeping of reception and waiting areas

Arranging transport and home visits

Managing medical records recording patient contracts, attaching correspondence electronically and in hard copy and filing in correct order.

Maintaining and updating the practice patient database.

Ensuring confidentiality and data protection is observed at all times

The roles are vary varied and, sometimes, challenging. However, they are also extremely rewarding. You will work in a team of seven or eight and use each other's knowledge and support to help you provide the best possible service to our patient population.

The roles are -

Position 1 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 8.00am to 1.00pm

Position 2 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 1.30pm to 6.30pm

Both roles will require some flexibility to possibly cover colleague's absence.

Each role is 20 hours per week.
