Job salary: £30,000 - 35,00 per annum + discretionary 5% bonus
Job location: Gloucester
Job duration: 6 month Fixed Term Contract (will consider people only looking for 12 month FTC)

Kelly Services is recruiting on behalf of a one of the most reputable corporate organisations in Gloucestershire for a Tactical Buyer within an Indirect Procurement team.

Your new job:

You will be required to support the Procurement function with a variety of activities. You will be responsible for some of the front end communications, such as negotiating with suppliers. Primarily your remit will involve processing purchase requisitions and supplier applications as well as monitoring supplier performance.

Suppliers will be reviewed periodically, whereby you will analyse supplier data/performance in order to assist more strategic decisions. You will also expedite all order, ensuring that the supply chain runs efficiently and effectively.

Analysis will also need to be conducted of the cost savings as this is key within the department.

The postholder will be measured on key objectives to include achieving targeted savings, % of global volume you will cover and the rating of internal customer satisfaction. Please note that there could be very occasional travel nationally to meet suppliers.

Skills you need to succeed:

The role will interact with a large Procurement function, whereby you will need to communicate frequently with a variety of stakeholders. You will be detail-orientated and able to work with large amounts of information, interpreting data and communicating recommendations based on said data.

You will be commercially minded and numerical d in order to both negotiate and analyse information successfully.

The hours of the role are attractive, where you will be able to work a half day on a Friday, finishing at 13:30. The role will be based primarily in Gloucester, but you could be expected to travel to other offices within the UK on occasion.

The role is initially 6 months to fit a busy time, however if permanent roles are available at the end of the contract you will be considered.
