Distributor 3-6 Month FTC

Due to increased workload we are looking for Distributors (Allocators) to join our talented Merchandising team based at our High Street Head Office in Swindon Wiltshire, on a 3- 6 month fixed term contract. The main purpose of this role is to work effectively with other Distributors, logistics and suppliers to maintain good product availability and control stock levels across a number of different ranges. This is an ideal role for someone looking to establish themselves within a successful leading Retailer and could lead to future opportunities.
What you'll do:
As a distributor (allocator) you will be responsible for managing our Stores and Distribution Centre (DC) stock levels and replenishment levels. Our distributors work closely with our suppliers, stores and distribution centres, liaising regularly to manage stock availability and fulfilment. You'll create and calculate purchase orders, and provide suppliers with accurate forecasts for our stores and DC's. You'll analyse performance of the ranges and ensure month end targets, availability and fulfilment targets are met; whilst also providing support with any stock problems or price overrides.

Who we're looking for:
Ideally you will have previous experience in a stock management / allocation focused role, or you may be working as a Merchandising Assistant and looking for your next challenge. You will need to have a strong analytical ability to run reports and analyse and interpret data to identifying trends. You will have excellent Excel skills including the use of Pivot Tables & V-Lookups, and be able to work under pressure and take the initiative. As you'll have a variety of stakeholders to manage an engaging communication style is a must, as well as strong influencing skills. You'll be able to manage your time effectively and have an eye for detail.
