Charge Nurse - Older Peoples Mental Health
Older People's Mental Health services are an exciting and evolving place to work. We offer great training and development opportunities to our staff. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse you will have continuing responsibility for the management of a ward area including supervision and deployment of staff. You will also have an important role in supporting education in the clinical area for undergraduate and post graduate students. The Charge Nurse will support the Senior Charge Nurse in managing a team of Band 5 Nursing staff and Band 3 Nursing Assistants. There is no direct financial responsibility with this post; however, you will be expected to work collaboratively with the Senior Charge Nurse to ensure effective utilisation of resources. This includes supporting the effective deployment of the nursing human resources, as well as the effective management of ward supplies, pharmacy, repairs maintenance and equipment. It is essential you are a Registered Mental Nurse with significant experience at Band 5 Level. The shift pattern will be worked 12 hour shifts with rotation to night duty. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme. PLEASE READ AND SAVE THE CANDIDATE APPLICATION PACK BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. This post closes on the 27th April 2018.
