Production & SMT Operator We are seeking a self-driven and highly motivated Production & SMT Operatorto join our forward thinking, successful electronics manufacturing company based in North West London. As a Production & SMT Operator you will play in an essential role in the production of our products. You will be responsible for both mechanical, automated and hand assembly. You will be using PCB board layouts, BOM part lists and written instructions in order to assemble, rework and/or re-assemble units and sub-assemblies. You will also be operating our process equipment. You will work closely with others in the production team to ensure order quantities are met - whilst maintaining a very high level of quality. The essential duties and responsibilities will be: Operating automated and/or manual assembly equipment such as Pick & Place, Screen Printer, Inspection Machine and Wave Solder equipment. Various mechanical assembly operations of assemblies and sub-assemblies. Building of printed circuit board to meet or exceed established quality standards and per the documentation or instructions provided. Placing components on PCB's and hand soldering. Testing, assembling final products and packaging them. Machine operation, setup, line maintenance, training and helping operators on machine and assembly. Maintain equipment whilst ensuring efficient operation of work centres to meet production schedules. Troubleshooting program/process/ machine issues and fault corrections. The ideal candidate: Has a good knowledge of electronics and components Has experience with pick & place, re-flow, wave soldering, AOI and screen printing programming. Will have at least 2 years' experience in a production environment Will have very good attention to detail Is used to production work and is able to work in a production line Has excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within teams Preferable but not essential: Has a qualification in electronics (or equivalent) Hours and shift-work Shift-working hours 2pm to 10pm (37.5hrs per week) Whilst doing training, you may be required to work the standard hours of 8am - 4pm.
