Do you have a background in the Police Force, Armed Forces or other protective service? Are you considering a career change? Then we have the career opportunity for you. Harlow College is recruiting to our Protective Services team; apply now as we build the future, one student at a time”.
About the team
The Protective Services team delivers courses which are a mixture of theory and practical units, designed to provide our students with a detailed understanding of the Protective Services industries. Our courses help our students to develop key generic ‘life’ skills, which would strengthen an application for a variety of roles and careers.
About the role
As a flexible, creative and pro-active professional you’ll be expected to use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable all learners to make significant progress from their starting points. You will also be working to address individual learning needs, overcome barriers to learning and encourage autonomous learning.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will have a Degree or a Level 3 qualification with significant industrial experience.
You don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.
What we can offer
The successful candidate can expect investment in their personal and professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
If you are looking to work within a challenging and fast paced organisation whereby we believe all our people, both staff and students, have the potential to succeed in whatever they set their minds to then this is the role for you.
Closing date for applications 25th April 2018.
