IT Support Technician
IT Support Technician required for my client based near Maidenhead for a permanent role paying £25-30k You will need to drive and have own transport. You will be required to provide IT support to customers and give backup and support to the Technical Manager. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Microsoft Servers, Exchange, Office 365, some Networking plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. You will need to take ownership of and manage all requests, managing the process through to successful completion, whilst ensuring a consistently high level of customer service at all times. You will need a broad technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, an understanding of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers and firewalls. Job Tasks: Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults Replacing parts as required Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports Supporting the roll-out of new applications Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate) Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers As part of the role you will be put through relevant certifications if required by the business.
