Supply Desk are currently recruiting a for a teaching assistant who is a graduate in education for a small caring and family orientated primary school in Whitefield, Bury. This Bury primary school strives to offer the very highest standards in education and is a richly diverse community primary school. The school are enormously proud of their ‘Forest School’ which allows the children to develop their learning outside of the classroom. They believe that this is a fundamental part of supporting children in developing them as resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.

The school are looking for a graduate teaching assistant who is passionate and driven in pursuing a teaching career with an education degree. As a graduate teaching assistant you would be required to work alongside the primary teachers in different year groups to help provide additional support, leading extra booster classes with small groups and 1:1 support with children who are at a lower level with their reading and writing. The school are looking for an individual who is supportive and comfortable with teaching phonics to young children and has a good understanding of primary schools and the national curriculum. The idea candidate must have had previous experience working in a primary school setting and assisting school teachers. This is a great opportunity to gain experience to take the next steps in to your teaching career.
