Assistant Psychologist / Part - Time
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist within an exciting new acquired brain injury rehabilitation service in south Bedford. The post will provide excellent opportunities for the successful applicant to extend and develop their existing clinical skills and is suitable for applicants wishing to pursue a career in clinical psychology. Duties are varied, but will include assisting the Neuropsychologist in neuropsychological and behavioural assessment of service users, the development, implementation and evaluation of individual therapy programmes and staff training. Applicants should have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree in psychology and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society. Previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team in brain injury rehabilitation or challenging behaviour setting is essential. Applicants should be computer literate and have good interpersonal and communication skills. Essential Criteria: Minumum of upper second class honours degree in Psychology One year’s minimum clinical experience with individuals with an acquired brain injury or individuals with neurological or cognitive impairment in a different clinical speciality Eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society.
