*Drug Safety Officer - 6 month contract - Top Pharma - Surrey*

My client a top Pharmaceutical has a need for a Drug Safety Officer to join their Safety operations team on a 6 month contract.

Within this role you will :

* Provide safety information to manufacturers, suppliers and, when required, competent authorities in an efficient and professional manner
* Ensure all patient safety issues are escalated and processed promptly
* Provide coherent and comprehensive support to other departments and clients as required
* Provide an efficient and professional response to enquiries from all internal and external customers
* Support new services that may be developed (patient tracking, etc)
* Improve and enhance internal processes to increase efficiency
* Timely transmission of adverse event reports to the supplier or manufacturer, at all times managing the clients' expectations, and ensuring that regulations and processes are adhered to
* Respond to follow up requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regulations and processes are adhered to
* Provide monthly line listings of safety reports to clients and internal departments as required for the purposes of audits and/or reconciliation
* Write and review relevant SOPs, ensure all contractual requirements with regards to Pharmacovigilance are updated in the relevant procedures, and contribute to and ensure system improvement
* Create and update relevant reports and trackers and provide them to the Client within the timelines
* Provide cover for other team members if required
* Provide support regarding regulatory requirement monitoring and updates.
* Responsible for updating client-specific special requirements document to reflect contractual obligations.
* Assist in raising and investigating deviations/non-compliance and developing and implementing appropriate corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner.
* Provides all-employee induction and refresher training on PV requirements.
* Responsible for completion of routine Business Continuity Plan testing
* Receipt and triage of drug safety mailbox and voicemail, ensuring timely handling of safety information and other enquiries.
* Participate and provide support in preparation, throughout and following PV audits as necessary.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess a Health Care Professional Degree or Life Science Degree . You will have experience in pharmaceutical safety, preferably experience in a safety operations role and good knowledge of global Pharmacovigilance regulatory obligations
