Multi-skilled Production Engineer £30,000.00 per annum 2 shifts Monday to Friday Preston Our client has over forty years’ experience in supporting well-being and beauty brands, creating worldwide recognised products. Their expertise lies in the nutrition, beauty and healthcare sectors by providing beauty brand with a key-turn solution in product development, manufacturing and packaging. They are fully accredited, approved and regulated by key industry bodies. With their state of the art manufacturing facilities Duties Streamliningchangeovers of packing line equipment Liaising with suppliers and ordering parts Identifying issues by running diagnostics Finding permanent solutions by problem solving Working to the PPM schedule requirements within production and manufacturing Attending breakdowns and rectifying problems efficiently to reduce downtime Producing and implementing line trials and providing follow up and feedback Measuring performance of equipment by testing, evaluating, modifying and improving Writing follow up reports and documentation Providing technical advice and hands on support Analysing and interpreting data, & producing action plans for improvements Input in to and writing of procedures Setting of equipment in line with procedures & time limits Maintain Quality, Health & Safety & GMP requirements Drive and maintain Operational Excellence through innovation & improvement Formal Qualifications and experience required: Candidates will have a Mechanical Bias You will hold Mechanical engineering qualifications such as NVQ level 3 in engineering and minimum of City and Guilds or ONC or higher / equivalent Electrical qualification 2 years’ previous experience in a FMCG industry Understands the need to work within GMP guidelines Understanding of SMED & lean principles & techniques Personal Profile: Effective technical skills Applies proven tools & techniques to solve complex problems Excellent attention to detail Interpersonal skills Good Verbal and written communication skills Experience of using planned maintenance computerised systems Commercial awareness Excellent team working skills Demonstrate drive and have a can-do approach Ability to work in an ever-changing production environment that is fast paced and self-motivated to achieve results.
