Are you looking for a job where you can really make a difference? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated care/nursing assistant to join the team at this 9 bedroom specialist residential service in Kenton, Harrow. This service provides support for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and sensory impairments, mobility issues and complex health needs including epilepsy. Main responsibilities The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice. Our main priority, therefore, is to find support workers with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own. For more information, and to find other services in your area, please click here: http://cmg.co.uk/locations/ Could this be you? Your duties will be varied and no two days will be the same. Whilst the majority of our services require support workers, the people we support here require a high degree of personal care, are non verbal and require assistance with feeding. Therefore this position is more akin to a care assistant or nursing assistant. than to a support worker. Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager). This means you may need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis. Once you click "Apply", you will be asked a few questions regarding your status and preferences. Please be as honest as possible as it will help us to find the best service and position for you. CMG1 Ideal candidate We believe that a successful Support Worker doesn’t always have experience, but shares our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals. You will need to have a kind, caring and hard working nature. Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must. An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and some experience in care work would be an added bonus, but we have a fantastic in-house training team who can help you along if you are taking your first steps in your career as a support worker. Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
