A Preschool Teacher job for a private day nursery in North Bristol, offering a generous annual salary
Your new company
You will be working in a small, family run nursery that has been running just over 25 years. The nursery cares for children aged 3 month to 5 years old. The nursery prides its self on its loving and nurturing ethos where they cater and adapt to each individuals skills and talents. Most recently the nursery received an Ofsted 'Good' as they highlighted the quality of care that is provided to children. The nursery has good public transport links with one of the main bus routes passing the setting but also has a car park on site for staff members. The nursery is lucky to have a friendly and strong team of staff, all dedicated to providing outstanding child care and education.
Your new role
This job is for the nursery's preschool room, where you will be the room lead and inspiring teacher to the setting. You will be responsible for providing excellent emotional, physical, social and intellectual care for the children and supporting the other three staff members of the room to maintain high standards. You will be working as part of a close, strong team to tailor to children's needs and providing an engaging environment for the children. There are children with SEN in the room so you will expected to provide support where needed. You will be expected to build working relationships with parents to provide regular development updates.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a qualified teacher status for this role, however the nursery will except candidates who are qualified to a level 3 or above if they have the right experience and abilities. You will have an extensive early years background and have an in depth and up to date knowledge of EYFS and confidence with safeguarding procedures. Having experience and confidence working with SEN children will be desirable for this job. The nursery is looking for someone who can use their own initiative and come up with creative ideas for the development of the nursery.
