Learning Assistant - Activate Learning

We concentrate on what motivates learning and creating the emotional environment for all of us at Activate Learning to gain confidences and resilience to learn how to develop ourselves. To achieve this we work closely with businesses to understand their needs and involve them in our developments.
The main purpose of the role of Learning Assistant in a mainstream environment, is to work with our dedicated learning support team, providing support to students who have additional educational needs and difficulties. Some of these will include, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global learning delay, Hearing impaired and visual impairment, to name a few.
You will be based within the Group Learning Support department, working with identified students with learning needs. You will be working alongside the tutor and Study Coach for the Faculty and will liaise with them on a lesson by lesson basis. The role also includes some admin work, tracking, attending weekly meetings with learning support and undergoing regular CPD.
The hours for this role are 8.30am – 5pm, finishing at 4.30 pm on a Friday. This is a term time only role (working 38 weeks) but worth noting that our expected start date in the summer is around the 16th August.
