Occupational Health Nurse (Ref:OHN/181646) Reporting to the Occupational Health Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Occupational Health Department. This will include assisting in ensuring compliance with legislation, Corporate EHS standard operating procedures and accredited environmental, health and safety management systems. The position is full time (Monday to Friday) however a job share arrangement will be considered. Main responsibilities of this position will include: · Conduct pre-employment and other medicals examinations · Conduct sickness absence referrals in · Carry out health surveillance programs · Manage work related injuries, illnesses and issues according to local and Company requirements · Devise and co-ordinate health promotion activities Applicants must possess at least a Registered General Nursing qualification (UK/Ireland) combined with a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience. Preference may be given to candidates who possess a recognised occupational health qualification and/or with previous occupational health experience in a manufacturing environment. The successful applicant must be PC literate, be self motivated and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
