Overview:
  • Drive sales, open rates and click through rates by preparing and implementing best in class email campaigns based on customer insight and business requirements.
  • Forecast and manage send volumes in line with budget.
  • Increase return on investment through the email channel.
  • Increase traffic to the website in line with the annual growth target.
  • Work with key stakeholders from Digital, Category and Marketing teams to strategically develop the email plan and ensure all business objectives are met.
  • Prioritise email marketing campaigns based on business objectives.
  • Segment customers to ensure they are only targeted with relevant email campaigns.
  • Manage email testing to ensure designs are continuously optimised.
  • Analyse results from all marketing programs to improve key metrics (deliverability, open rate, click through rate, sales).
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness and consistency of all email campaigns.
  • Plan, build and execute the Halfords App notification plan continually evaluating engagement.
  • Spot opportunities for growth and new innovation across new CRM channels.
You will:
  • Manage and optimise our schedule of marketing communications, working closely with the Digital, Category and Marketing teams.
  • Work with the data and category teams to design customer lifecycle campaigns from design to build, automation and measurement.
  • Use latest innovation and technology to create dynamic and highly personalised campaigns efficiently, plus test and learn to ensure campaigns drive the desired results.
  • Design and set up regular reporting of email performance, at weekly, periodic and total campaign levels to advise the business on CRM performance, including incremental revenue and provide fact based recommendations.
  • Ensure all CRM activity is delivered within agreed budget and proactively chase any efficiencies in activity that realise cost saving to the business.
  • Scope opportunities for the use of new CRM/marketing channels including push notifications, direct mail and eReceipts.
  • Manage and raise all relevant POs.
  • Manage 2 x CRM Executive.
  • Manage relationships with external partners: design agency, data providers, dynamic content agency and email send provider.
  • Manage data acquisition to ensure the Halfords Retail database continues to grow.
  • Work across the Halfords Group to understand and optimise the customer journey across multiple touch points.
  • Work with the creative agency to ensure emails are optimised for accessibility and they convey messages in an engaging and relevant manner within the Halfords brand guidelines.
  • Segment customers by selecting relevant audiences, ensuring that customers receive appropriate levels of contact.
  • Audit data to ensure customer behaviour is being targeted appropriately, inbox deliverability is maximised and return on investment is optimised.
  • Approve and deploy all marketing emails.
Your Experience:
  • Understanding of email, direct mail, SMS, and experience with test and learn programs in these channels, especially with regards to personalisation and incentives.
  • Experience working with App notifications an advantage.
  • Experience of building targeted campaigns, analysing performance and metrics.
  • An analytical background with a solid understanding of key disciplines including contact plans, campaign planning, life-cycle communications, retention, cross-sell and acquisition.
  • Clear view on KPIs and what success looks like.
  • Ability to manage multiple partners, prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Experience with data related tools would be an advantage, but must have high levels of competence with Excel.
  • Understanding of CRM as part of wider Marketing mix and how other channels can be transformed into highly targeted marketing channels.
  • Understanding of CRM principles, best practice and latest developments.
  • CIM / IDM marketing qualification desirable.
  • Experience of HTML desirable.
  • Experience using statistical analysis for campaign evaluation desirable.
