About the role Academy Music Group, part of Live Nation Entertainment run an apprenticeship programme which aims to offer an alternative route for people into employment. The Apprenticeship offers on the job training and onsite assessment by an approved apprenticeship training provider, earning a nationally recognised qualification at the end of the Apprenticeship. We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant Apprentice to join the Finance team for an 18 month placement. As an Apprentice you will help the finance team to operate smoothly, while building essential accountancy experience. Responsibilities Scan and enter the invoice header information for the AP invoices onto Captiva (the scanning system that interfaces with the AP sub-ledger within the Financial Accounting System) ensuring the correct company, supplier, site and workflow location is selected Complete supplier statement reconciliations on a monthly basis for key and problematic accounts. Investigate any outstanding differences with Suppliers or Internal Approvers. Complete a new Vendor/amendment form when a supplier or correct site cannot be located on the AP sub-ledger Complete various weekly and month end reconciliations on Oracle, such as bank reconciliations, safes, ATMs, credit cards, cash collections. Investigate variances and post journals to complete reconciliations and correct and errors. Input sales invoices and receipts onto Oracle and match against income received. Prepare monthly debtors reports from information extracted from Oracle and responses obtained from venues. Review trial balances and nominals for any posting errors. Post journals to correct.
