Principal Town Planner | Private Consultancy
£35,000 to £45,000 + Bens
Private Consultancy are actively looking for a Principal Town Planner to join their planning function and eventually head up the planning sector running projects and representing the division at hearings and appeals.
This role has come about as a direct replacement and the projects are live and long term therefore stability and work load will not be an issue. Ideally applicants will have experience in both the Private and Public sector and probably more recently be working for a private consultancy helping to run and take the lead on projects across the UK. Specific experience in projects around the Midlands would be of particular interest.
The position will work all aspects of the planning process including preparing complex planning applications and liaising with other divisions of the company getting involved in EIA studies. You can expect to be on site as well as being given a flexible work pattern in order to complete the job functions of the role.
An additional responsibility will be to act as a mentor to other members of the team making sure that all work is in line with the RTPI and to the client's specification. Work will cover a variety of sectors ( Heritage, Conservation, Waste/Minerals and Mix-Use ) and will also deal with both private organisations and the local authorities.
To apply applicants will ideally be a full MRTPI member and hold a role similar to Senior Town Planner, Principal Town Planner or Associate Town Planner. You will be able to show experience working projects from inception through to completion and be able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
