Working closely with the Managing Director to provide full financial accounting for the company.

You’ll be supporting a busy sales office and operational staff on costing and pricing, producing quarterly forecasts and weekly analysis.

Your key tasks will include:

- Manage coach and mentor 2 staff members including completing regular appraisals

- Keep all ledgers and cashbooks posted to date

- Produce accurate statistical information to monitor performance against targets

- Produce and maintain all salaried staff payroll including commissions and bonuses

- Responsible for completion of weekly payroll of 250 average per week and RTI for temporary workers

- Run a payroll bureau for external client

- Maintain cash book, daily banking, bank line transfers, bank reconciliation and petty cash

- Review, secure best prices and maintain: all service and lease agreements, computer system, company cars, insurance requirements for the business, certifications, purchases and renewals, maintain fixed asset register and calculate and report depreciation

- Oversee the sales and purchase ledger functions (setting collection targets)

- Produce ad-hoc statistics for Government agencies eg HMRC/VAT/National Statistics

- Prepare monthly and annual accounts to trial balance, balance sheet, profit and loss, budget reports, VAT and returns

- Liaise with auditors and company accountants

- Keeping abreast of any update to legislation which will affect the business (ie AWR, Pensions, Minimum Wage etc)

- Quarterly VAT returns

- Corporation Tax Account

- Administration of company pension scheme (auto-enrolment)

- Review and produce gross margin report analysis

To be considered for this role you should :

- Be self-motivated, self-reliant and naturally want to go the extra mile

- Have 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role

- Be able to stay calm whilst working to tight deadlines

- Show commitment by always getting the job done

- Possess excellent excellent communication skills

- Be computer literate with advanced Excel and SAGE Line 50

- CIMA qualification preferred (or similar)

Free Parking Space, 25 days holiday (+ stat days), working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm).
