We have an opportunity for an experienced structural engineer, who is looking for challenging work, to join our growing building engineering team in our Manchester office.
As creative engineers, we apply our engineering expertise to shape our projects. We work in an interdisciplinary environment and aim to design structures that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact.
You will play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion across a number of sectors, including education, sport, health and mixed use developments.
You will join a close knit team of structural engineers based in Manchester that works collaboratively as part of our seventy-five strong team of structural engineers across the North West and Yorkshire. We provide structured training to achieving chartered status with an extensive range of internal courses and opportunities for international placements.
From Manchester we work on a range of local, national and international projects. We have completed the Art & Design Building for Manchester Metropolitan University, 30 Cannon Street offices in the City of London and Copenhagen Arena. Our current projects include: MECD for the University of Manchester, Blackpool Tower and New Victoria in Manchester.

Requirements and Skills
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer:
• With excellent design and technical skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary design teams, contributing to projects from inception to completion
• Who is approaching or recently Chartered, typically with solid experience within a leading design firm for building structures
• Who is committed to their own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop their engineering skill
• With good communication skills, well organised, a passion for structural design and an enthusiasm for architecture and sustainable building design
• With the ability to demonstrate excellent technical aptitude and experience in a range of structural design analysis software. Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit is desirable with knowledge of parametric design beneficial.
