Junior Web Developer (Science)
The Natural History Museum’s purpose is to inspire a love of our natural world and to help unlock answers to the big issues facing humanity and the planet. We are now embarking on a new digital strategy in support of that purpose, which aims to use digital technologies, platforms, and devices to significantly grow the number of people engaging with the Museum and its work, providing exceptional online experiences for everyone from those curious about nature to professional scientists.
In order to deliver our strategy we are looking for a Junior Web Developer to work on the Museum’s public facing digital experience.
The Junior Web Developer will work within the Science product team in the Digital Media and Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Senior Web Developer in the team. This team is directly responsible for inspiring action through engagement with our science. They create compelling digital products that connect the public directly to the work of Museum scientists. The Junior Web Developer will collaborate with other developers, UX and Visual Designers, Product and Content Managers and colleagues in the Marketing teams, as well as Platforms Engineers and Software Developers in the Technology Solutions department.
This position offers an opportunity to really make a difference, with support to learn and master new technologies from an experienced cross-functional team.
Salary: £31,000 per annum plus benefits
