Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team

Duties include;

  • Processing payrolls from start to finish
  • Need to train and set up processes
  • To teach the branches the self service system for reviewing payslips, booking holidays etc
  • Calculating SMP, SSP, TAX & NI
  • P11ds, reconciliations and reporting for GL
  • Process statutory deductions, process TAX and NI etc
  • First port of call for teams queries and who is able to work to multiple deadlines in a high volume, fast paced payroll department
  • Good Excel skills are required - vlookups and pivot tables ideally
  • The candidate needs to be well organised, working both as part of the team and taking responsibility for the payroll for the duration of the assignment
  • Deal with escalated queries
  • Liaise with HMRC for reporting
  • Understand TAX codes and NI calculations
  • Reconciliations of the payrolls
  • Auto enrolment for pensions
