Assistant Payroll Manager Hertfordshire Permanent £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus benefits
Our client a leading practice are seeking an Assistant Payroll Manager within their head office located in St Albans.
MAIN DUTIES:
As an Assistant Payroll Manager, you must be able to lead by example and be technically strong on all aspects of payroll, as you will be responsible for checking and authorising work including Tax and N.I calculations, statutory payments, holiday accrual, RTI and Auto Enrolment. You will also be responsible for your own portfolio of payrolls for some high profile clients.
Advising clients on best practice and current legislation, they are looking for someone who shares in this ethos.
Required skills for this position:
Solid technical knowledge covering all aspects of payroll services, including expenses and benefits and salary exchange1 – 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Payroll Manager, Team Leader, Payroll SupervisorAccuracy and attention to detailStrategically lead, motivate and manage a payroll teamExcellent time management and ability to work under pressureEnsuring service levels are met whilst maintaining strong client relationships and an accurate payroll functionReliable with a sense of ownership and accountability Previous Payroll Bureau experienceSTAR payroll software experience would be an advantage, but is not essential
