Are you a good financial accountant interested in using your management accounting, analysis and interpretation skills in the not-for-profit sector to help a charitable group to achieve its goals? Can you communicate well at all levels and work with both finance and non-finance colleagues?

Do you have experience in managing a team and a busy finance department? If so you could be just what we’re looking for in our new Finance Manager.

Based in Kendal & reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for ensuring that financial information is robust, accurate and provided in a timely manner, financial accounting & reporting and audit preparation. You will also be responsible for the management of the Finance Team.

The Finance Manager role also forms part of the Senior Management Team, you will therefore enjoy the responsibility associated with involvement in debate and discussion at a senior level and be part of the decision making team.

The essential criteria are

    Experience of managing all aspects of an organisation’s finance and accounting activities including provision of financial and management reports, controlling and monitoring budgets and monitoring and maintaining flows of cash. Experience of managing a team. Full or part professional accounting qualification (with willingness to continue your training to full qualification) and membership of professional body e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent.
