Your new role
As the Credit Control Manager you will be responsible for a national credit function undergoing sharp growth with attendant credit management focus. You will build and lead a Credit Control Team that supports the organisation's short and long-term goals and strategies. This role is specifically responsible for credit control, ensuring cash is collected in line with terms by influencing both the core Credit Control team and the wider processes. You will take complete responsibility for management of the Credit Control function in its entirety with the aim of reviewing and improving existing processes and where necessary adding new ones. You will look to improve the lifecycle of invoice to cash to aid increased cash collection and will take responsibility for cash forecasting. You will be the key communicator between various internal departments. This role will be based at the head office in Leeds and will report directly to the Financial Controller.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have extensive knowledge of credit control procedures and processes with a proven track record of implementing new processes and procedures within a short time frame. You will have prior experience working in a fast paced, complicated environment running a dynamic credit function. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills whilst demonstrating strong analytical and financial forecasting abilities. You will have good business acumen, excellent people management with an exceptional ability to motivate. You will have an in-depth knowledge of collection techniques and relevant legislation, including the various enforcement methods available.
