Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Manager on behalf of our client based North of Nottingham. Oversee the day to day running of the Credit Control Team including full reporting line management of team personnel
Monitor and report on debtor days
Administer cash allocations through paid and part-paid invoices
Actively oversee credit control of the sales ledger including review of all overdue and unpaid debts
Manage processes within the team and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner including chasing debts from customers by telephone, email or letter.
Pro-actively develop and implement new automated processes to improve cash collection and streamline credit control
Final escalation point for debts prior to liaising with Senior Management to commence legal proceedings
Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers

Ideal Candidate

Experience of directly managing a team
A good working knowledge of sales ledger processing
Minimum of 5 years credit control experience including managing a team of credit controllers
Experience in dealing with difficult customers in a positive and constructive manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
