A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Pricing team at Aviva. We are actively recruiting for a Pricing Analyst, based in our London Head office, to focus on our expanding Global P&C and Corporate Speciality business.

The Team

You will be involved in developing the pricing agenda for Global Corporate Property, Casualty & Specialty Lines products. Working closely alongside the Underwriting teams, you will also ensure the development, implementation and maintenance of rating structures and rates for these product lines deliver on our growth and profitability aspirations for this business, to deliver strong cell performance and great customer experiences.

The Person

This role will be suited to a trainee Actuary working in the Company or London market who has experience of day to day pricing of one or more of the following business Lines:

Property Liability Construction (Projects and latent defects) Marine & Engineering Financial Lines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be to

Develop working relationships with our expert Underwritiers in order to ensure the technical pricing of risks is clearly understood in the quotation processIncrease the coverage of technical pricing across Global and Corporate Commercial accounts and expand the footprint of Actuarial pricing within AvivaEnsure consistency of approach where analytical based pricing is not possibleStakeholder manage all relevant internal & external teamsPeer review Underwriting and pricing work and provide technical guidanceDevelop our pricing capability across all products in Global & CorporateSeek out opportunities to introduce new & innovative pricing methodologies and look to simplify our rating processes and drive efficiency savingsEnsure pricing risk & governance requirements can be evidenced within team.Skills & Experience required

Trainee Actuary and/or proven ability in the pricing and analysis of general insurance accountsHighly numerate with experience of analytical tools and techniquesAbility to think strategically and operationallySkilled communicatorInnovativeRelationship management skillsAdditional Information
