Contracts/ Compliance Manager

SALARY: £25,000 - £40000

LOCATION: Northampton

COMPANY: An international leader within the construction environment

ROLE: As the Contracts/ compliance manager you will be responsible for the oversight of construction planned contracts for my client.

You will sit in the finance department working closely with the credit control and collection teams ensuring effective legal and contract compliance.

Working directly with the credit control manager sharing some of the functions currently looked after by them, the functions you will undertake ownership of are;

  • Checking contract documents - ensuring the correct and complaint information is within the contracts, contract length can vary between 2 and 300 pages.
  • Collateral Warranties
  • PI Insurance and insurance matters
  • Challenging Contractors
  • Litigation matters
  • Addendum to Contract documents
  • Playing a 'bad cop' for the BDM and Sales personnel
  • Entering quotes /downloads on my clients customers Portal and other customer portals, includes:
  • Daily communication with Contractors and internal project teams
  • Raising and downloading Application on portals
  • Raising manual invoice and downloading on portals
  • Any ad hoc task required by the relevant line manager - if they are away they would like a professional to assist with functions in absence.

This is an important and varied role within the business and acting as an advisor internally, ensuring data and process integrity and suggesting areas of system improvement, in line with business goals.

PERSON: The ideal candidate will have come from, or have a element of exposure to the construction or engineering industry, the legislation surrounding new commercial and industrial developments is key within the contract review functions of the role.

Exposure to dealing s with developers is also a great benefit to the right candidate.

Relevant experience within a Finance environment and a thorough understanding of best practise operations within 'credit control, Purchasing and fulfilment beneficial but not critical.

The ideal candidate must have a desire to grow within an organisation, the team are stable and are looking for like indeed individuals to join the team.

You will have a strong understanding of compliance and fact checking within a contracts environment as the main instance of the role initially is purely contract based.

The varied salary range allows the role to be open to both to junior level contract professionals in a full time capacity or experienced contract managers on a part time permanent
