Kinetic are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well established manufacturing company based in the North Manchester area.


Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Middleton
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Rotating shifts, Earlies, Lates & Nights
Hourly Rate: £17.07 (6-2/2-10pm shifts) & £19.69 for Nights.


Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Plant Engineer, the role of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be to provide a general maintenance service to the site and responsibility for the improvement of equipment to ensure compliance with current regulations.

Main objectives and responsibilities include:

* Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of all plant and equipment on site.
* Ensuring that all plant and equipment are functioning correctly and optimised.
* Continual improvement of equipment.
* Introduction of corporate engineering systems, incorporating new technology innovations.
* Keep up to date with new regulations.
* Ensure that all standards are kept up to date.
* Ensure that all equipment meets European machinery standards.
* Maintaining records, documentation and organisation of data.
* Inclusion in the preventative maintenance program.
* Adhere to 5S system and good housekeeping.


To be considered for the role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will need the following skills and attributes.

* Team performance and Health and Safety standards.
* Good fault finding abilities and resolving issues in a breakdown environment.
* Knowledge and fault finding with PLC systems
* Industrial electrician, with a recognised qualification.
* 17th Edition certified or working towards certification.
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical equipment.
* Experience with ABB and/or Fanuc robots.
* Experience of various Microsoft and industrial computer applications.
* Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic skillset.
* Variable speed drives.
* Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Working both autonomously as well as part of a team.
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
* Self-development with maintaining knowledge of current regulations.
