We are recruiting for a Regional Commodity Manager to join an exciting and expanding Automotive Component Manufacturing team to oversee the implementation of purchase strategies across 3 sites In the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities for the appointed Regional Commodity Manager will be:
Purchasing research for key commodities/products to support the local and regional requirements.
Raw material cost and trend tracking, source profiling and database management.
Cost reduction program tracking in conjunction with the regional operating companies
Assist in the Supplier Development process to ensure success internally/externally.
Responsible for Indirect and Direct purchasing throughout the company
Represent the purchasing department as appropriate in cross functional teams such as New Project introduction, providing input.
Local and international travel will be required as deemed necessary by the organisation to perform the role satisfactorily.

The chosen Regional Commodity Manager will have the follow skills:

CIPS Qualified
Background with the relevant industry - Automotive/Aerospace/ Marine Industry or relevant high-quality manufacturing experience
Several years' experience within a similar purchasing role
Excellent team worker and proven leader/ Assertive and influencing skills
High technical engineering competence
'Can do Attitude ', able to build relationships, self-motivated and enthusiastic
