Your new company provides management and professional services to a wide range of clients cross the entertainment, music and sports sectors. These services include career management and career advice to TV and radio personalities and sporting athletes. Due to substantial growth the firm is looking to recruit a Business Manager.
Your new role
You will be a senior figure and will work as part of a specialist Accountancy firm of 75 people dealing with Music, Sport and Entertainment clients. The main purpose of this position will be to provide the current senior management team with the management of a client group including; advising clients on their accounting needs, resolving issues with clients and taking client meetings. You will also be involved in team Management including; planning work, delegating and reviewing work, mentoring and training team members including appraisals. You will be in charge of all aspects of accounting as the technical lead including but not limited to the preparation and finalisation of accounts for sole traders, limited companies and LLP's in addition to a good understanding of tax issues and liaison with the tax department. Managing deadlines to ensure work is completed to the required quality standards
What you'll need to succeed
A passion for the music industry is essential or this role, although previous experience of entertainment and media clients is not. Previous experience working in an Accountancy Practice, with a strong technical understanding of accounts. Previous team management experience. 2-5 years PQE is highly desirable. You will have the ability to assess and manage time to the appropriate level on client work with the ability to independently and confidently advise clients. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a working understanding of tax accounting.
