2nd Line Support Engineer

Marcus Donald are currently recruiting for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a well-known not for profit organisation in West London.

You will be responsible for covering service desk duties and handling operational incidents (2nd-3rd line) through to system maintenance and into project implementation and associated design and testing. You will be continuously developing capabilities within technical and product spheres, along with ITIL, Prince and Agile working, is expected to aid moving towards a DevOps style of working.

Key Skills required for 2nd Line Support Engineer:

- Active Directory
- Windows 10
- MS Server 2012/16
- VMware
- Office 365
- MS SQL Server

Job responsibilities for 2nd Line Support Engineer:

- Actively manage, and be responsible for, your allocated time budget against the assigned function
- Identifying and executing creative, innovative solutions to needs to that still meet business or technology constraints

Project Services

- Execute work packages
- Release and deploy - Build, test and deliver the capability specified by Design that will accomplish stakeholder requirements and deliver the intended objectives
- Transfer and Retire - Transition new or revised/replaced systems into operations and support, decision and removal of redundant assets and updating associated records

Operational Services

- Service Operations - service incidents, requests and problems also acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues and problems that cannot be dealt with by Systems Analysts
- Desktop Management - construct, test, deploy and maintain suitable applications and update packages for automated deployment
- Maintain and develop operational support documentation including key procedures, knowledge articles, build & support instructions and standard changes
