Purchase Ledger Clerk

A well-established Facilities Management Business is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to form an integral part of their Finance Department.

They will be working in a small team of 4 people. Reporting directly to the Assistant Accountant the successful candidate will have strong all round knowledge of all functions within Purchase Ledger and will be predominantly responsible for maintaining all Ledgers to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

·Raising Purchase orders

·Processing invoices

·Gaining Signatures / Authorisations from budget holders for invoices and credit notes

·Resolving Queries with Suppliers / Budget Holders

·Daily Bank Reconciliation

·Monthly Credit Card Reconciliation

·Supplier Statement Reconciliation

·Preparation of Payment Runs

The candidate will also be expected to support other members of the Finance team where needed therefore extra knowledge within the department such as Sales Ledger would be beneficial.

Systems Knowledge:

·Sage 200

·Planet FM Enterprise (not essential)

·Excel (to a high standard)

·Word

Requirements:

·Have experience of working in a Purchase Ledger role

·Strong communication skills both verbal and written

·High level of accuracy to their work

·Strong attention to detail

·Be able to work to strict deadlines
