Financial Controller

Our client is a leader in the B2B supply and management of Enterprise Mobility Solutions, working within various markets including Retail, Transport & Logistics, Warehousing, Distribution and Field Services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their new office in Emersons Green, North Bristol.

Position: Financial Controller
Location: Emersons Green, Bristol (Commutable from Bristol, Chippenham and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

- Production and development of accurate and timely monthly financial reports including management accounts, company KPI’s and variance analysis to support financial and business decision making
- Ensuring the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of monthly job costing reports in line with the company’s policy on the recognition of income & costs on long term contracts
- Management of the company’s working capital, focusing on debtor control, stock levels, and creditor payments. - Production of weekly / monthly cash flow forecasts
- Responsible for all aspects of the accounting function for Polish subsidiary.
- Develop, implement & maintain robust financial and operational controls across the business
- Analysing and interpreting data held within the CRM system to assist the company in achieving its strategic goals
- Communicate and build relationships with all parties both internally and externally
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and experience of payroll processes
- Running of internal IT projects including the development of SAGE

About you:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with ideally a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience spent in a fast-moving business environment
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience, working with a finance system (ideally Sage 200).
- Advanced in the use of Excel
- A close attention to detail, highly numerate & analytical whilst working at pace
- The ability to work well in a team as well as on your own initiative
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly when business partnering with non-financial managers.
- Energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to embrace change and make continual improvements.
- Experience of PAYE, P11Ds VAT, Intrastat returns and Corporation Tax is desirable, as is experience of motivating and mentoring a small team
