The Company

YouTrain are recruiting on behalf of Cortex who are looking for Apprentice Web Developers to join the team at their Edinburgh HQ.

Cortex are a technology company, who provide their customers with a solution which allows them to manage their entire digital real estate on a global level. Current customers include Microsoft, Edrington and Saban (Power Rangers).

The Role

·Full time; 37.5 hours per week

·Monday – Friday

·Starting salary; £12,000 with progression

You will join the existing in-house development team, and from day-1 be involved in the delivery and management of their client’s web real estate. Main job tasks include:

·Working with the latest technology and using the existing product base to provide world-class solutions for customers

·Maintain and add functionality to clients existing digital real estate

·Playing a role in the continued development of Cortex technology using .NET programming framework

The Candidate

To succeed in this role, it is absolutely essential that you have a passion for tech, and a desire to pursue a career in Software Development.

Cortex have a track record of investing in, developing and keeping Apprentices and former Modern Apprentices will be involved in your development as mentors.

You will be provided with all the tools you require to succeed, all you need is a passion for tech and a desire to learn & develop.

Training

Over the course of 18-24 months, you will be supported by YouTrain through both an SCQF6 IT Apprenticeship and SCQF8 Advanced IT Apprenticeship which are both work-based qualifications certified by SQA.

Alongside your work-based IT Apprenticeships, you will also be supported through instructor-led training to achieve Microsoft Certification on the MS Developer pathway.

Upon completion of the above, you will then have the option to undertake a Graduate Apprenticeship in Software Development and work towards attainment of your Degree.
