IP Legal Counsel - FTSE 250 Group
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel within the Legal Department at our client's head office based in central London. The role supports the Senior Legal Counsel and legal team to ensure that the Group is provided with clear legal advice and support in all areas. The company are an established, expanding FTSE 250 organisation who offer a fantastic work/life balance.
This role is primarily accountable for the provision of legal advice on all commercial contracts and agreements, including transactional intellectual property matters, data protection. Other duties include presenting third party contracts and leases, whilst detailing the specific risks and business benefits of terms and conditions. Developing effective relationships with key advisors at external law firms, utilising these for support with specialisms and additional workloads and directing the workflow as required.
The legal department is a close-knit team of experts, so a personable and professional demeanour is essential. Applicants will have trained at a well renowned law firm and will have relevant in-house experience. It is a fast paced working environment, so the ability to make decisions and prioritise multiple tasks under pressure is key to the role. Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with adaptability and perseverance to ensure any issues are resolved will be necessary.
Our client envisages that candidates with at least 3 years' PQE will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position; however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this range but who have the relevant experience.
