Our top global financial client is currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for their Central London. We are looking for a candidate that has experience with automation, orchestration and configuration management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, monitoring, maintenance and provisioning of the following services:
    • Automation and orchestration
    • Configuration management
    • Microsoft Azure Cloud environment
    • Windows Server 2008/R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 build, configuration and troubleshooting skills
    • VMware ESXi 5.x, 6.x
    • Amazon AWS Cloud environment
    • Active Directory ADFS
    • Microsoft Exchange 2013 onwards, Lync 2013, Archiving strategies, Load Balancing (F5 LTM)
    • Citrix 7.x
  • At the direction of the Infrastructure Services Manager, engage with the other teams in the IT Department to ensure that the IT Department's policies and procedures are implemented, in particular those procedures relating to:
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Operational Acceptance Testing
    • Change Management
  • Engage with IT Delivery to plan and coordinate solution transition and application of upgrades
  • At the direction of the Infrastructure Services Manager, engage with Development and IPM to understand any requirements for new hardware that is needed to meet the business's future requirements.
  • Experience Required:
  • Public Cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Automation via PowerShell and DSC
  • Configuration management for the Microsoft stack
  • Windows Server 2008 and 2012 (R2) clustering, installation and maintenance
  • VMware ESXi (5.5, 6.x) configuration and monitoring
  • Active directory, DNS, DHCP configuration and management in a multi-forest design
  • Physical hardware configuration and support, especially Dell servers
  • Active Directory ADFS and Web Application Proxy
  • Networking basics essential

Hours of work:

Core hours of 8.30am - 5.30pm; however, flexibility is required to meet essential business deadlines. Must be prepared to work on the 24 x 7 rota and support business critical activities outside normal working hours. Please note we operate a shift system from 7am-6:30pm on a rota basis.
