Our client is an expanding Top 15 accountancy practice with offices across the UK and internationally. They are now looking for a Technical & Training Manager to join their team.

As the Technical & Training Manager, you’ll oversee our client’s audit training programme, as well as a range of top-up training on audit, financial reporting, ethics and company law matters.

In this varied role, you will deliver or co-ordinate practical audit training and update training at CPD level, as well as overseeing student support services for all qualifications.

You’ll also contribute to other departments regarding operating and quality control procedures to ensure our client complies with regulations.

Additionally, you will:

- Maintain, update and document the firm’s audit procedures
- Provide credible and robust advice to partners and managers
- Carry out reviews
- Research and write technical bulletins
- Provide technical input on client newsletters and publications

To be considered, you’ll need:

- Experience in a high level audit role, working with a range of client types and sizes
- Deep and broad technical knowledge in audit and financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word to create and maintain manuals and other complex documents
- Professional writing skills
- An ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)

Organised and proactive, as the Technical & Training Manager, you’ll be an accomplished presenter with the ability to communicate at all levels. Superb planning, prioritization and time-management skills are also key.

Ideally, you’ll have previous audit compliance or training experience. Experience in a technical support role would also be beneficial, as would proficiency in CCH Accounts Production and Audit Automation (ProAudit).
