Security Engineer - Active Directory, Scripting, Servers
A Security Engineer with Windows, Active Directory, Scripting and Servers experience is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in New Malden.
This is a 12-month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Security Engineer contract role
The security team provides tailored security lockdown for a number of Windows-based products, primarily through the use of Active Directory and a series of bespoke security applications. The role is to support the development and testing of these solutions which will then go through an accreditation before their eventual use on operational platforms.
Key skills required for the Security Engineer
- 2+ years server admin experience with detailed knowledge of Active Directory group policies, Windows Firewall configuration and AppLocker
- 2+ years Windows 7/10/Server 2008/12/16 configuration
- Experience of scripting languages (e.g. VBScript or PowerShell)
- Self-motivated with problem solving skills
The role is based in New Malden Surrey - commutable from Hounslow, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Mitcham, Croydon, Sutton, Epsom, Leatherhead, Weybridge and Staines with excellent access from London, Hampshire and Berkshire
