I am currently looking for a NVH Engineer to join a luxury automotive OEM.

Job Purpose:

  • NVH Engineer to lead vehicle development and integration. Responsible from initial Programme Direction through Compatibility, Delivery and Launch.
  • You will champion drive-unit, road noise and chassis system NVH, leading issue mitigation through: commodity strategy, modal alignment, local point dynamic stiffness, noise and vibration transfer function development and bush compatibility.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

A senior member of the NVH team, you will be responsible for leading Noise and Vibration development of chassis systems with experience or awareness of the following:

  • Powertrain integration and development
  • Structure-borne road noise and vibration reduction techniques;
    • o Multi-reference transfer path, principal component and modal analysis
  • Understanding of vehicle secondary ride fundamentals, analysis and tuning principals
  • Working closely with NVH colleagues while maintain a strong relationship with the Body engineering team
  • Delivery of NVH full vehicle solutions from benchmarking, targets setting through development and verification
  • Deliver optimum engineering solutions with successful and timely resolution of issues
  • Plan and manage internal and external test facility and resource

Qualification & Experience:

  • The candidate should be degree qualified, preferably with NVH content.
  • Previous experience in an NVH engineering role, being accountable for chassis system or chassis integration
  • A good understanding of design guidelines for NVH mitigation with successful and timely resolution of issues from benchmarking, targets setting through development, verification and manufacture
  • Knowledge of state of the art NVH development techniques and tools
  • Ability to deliver cross platform strategies
  • Whole vehicle attribute assessment experience
  • Familiar with structure-borne road noise and vibration reduction techniques (Multi-reference transfer path, principal component and modal analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - we work with a lot of numbers, so you’ll need to be comfortable manipulating and analysing data in our systems, including ArtemiS Suite and LMS Test.Lab
  • Understanding of vehicle secondary ride fundamentals, analysis and tuning principals
  • Good knowledge and mentality on problem solving process (e.g. 8D, 6 sigma)
  • Knowledge of MISSION or equivalent product creation process (AMPCS, GPDS, NPI)
