Instrumentation & Flow Meter Service Engineer

My client a well respected manufacturer & distributor of Flow Meters, Instrumentation & Flowmeter Calibration Services are seeking an experienced flow meter service engineer due to new contracts.

· Blue chip customer base covering Energy, Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical & Automotive markets

· Sales throughout UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Russia

The Products:

Ø Flow Meters for Process Control, Liquid Batching and Energy Monitoring

Ø Standalone Instruments (Electronic Displays, Totalisers and Controllers)

Ø Automatic Meter Reading Systems

Ø Flow Meter Repair & Calibration services for all makes of flow meters

Ø Trouble shooting and tracing product failures

Ø Servicing and Repairing a wide range of mechanical and electronic flowmeters within the Facility and our customers premises

Ø Accuracy testing, verifying and calibrating Water, Gas and Process flowmeters using factory based and mobile test plant

Ø Developing relationships with our end user, OEM Contractor customers at all levels

Ø Identifying & developing new sales opportunities

Ø Advising customers on the right product for their specific application

Ø Must demonstrate the ability to work closely with a team

Primary Functions:

1 Flowmeter Accuracy Verification & Calibration The primary function of the role is to calibrate flowmeters, both at our facility using our test rigs, or onsite at our customers premises using portable Master Flowmeters and/or master weigh scales;

Requirements: Technically competent with a strong understanding of flow meters and fluid metering applications. Technologies include PD, Turbine, Electromagnetic, Coriolis and Vortex Using wet test methods and electronic verification Applying knowledge to find solutions to achieve the job accurately and effectively Understanding of how batch systems, batching instruments, and PLC’s work Verification of 4-20mA signals Accurate recording and documentation of results and reports

2 Meter Repair Trouble shooting mechanical and electrical issuers Using their knowledge and creativity to fix problems

3 Flowmeter & Instrument setup and commissioning Prior to sale and onsite Configuring and logging the output requirements, checking correct installation, Undertaking customer training

4 Self-Management To ensure the best customer service and to ensure that projects are completed in time and within budget

5 Teamwork: A real team member working as part of a small specialist team

6 Travel: Our customers are based all over the UK mainland

Experience & Qualifications: At least Five years flow calibration experience within the process markets

· Good PC skills and proven experience of Excel, Word and Email

· Mature approach, with excellent communications skills

· Willingness to work within a small team

The Post:

Permanent - Full time. 40Hours per week with 30min Lunch break. Working day can be flexible based on travel.
