IT Support Engineer (2nd Line/desktop & side) - Nottingham - c28k DOE
6 month secondment assignment initially - possible permanent opportunity
Are you immediately available or on a short notice period? If so, I am looking for an IT Support Engineer with remote Desktop & desk side experience required for a client in Nottingham to cover a 6 month secondment initially.
To work as part of the IT support/service infrastructure team providing support into the internal user community.
A classic, end user/internal support engineer primarily supporting internal customers with a wide range of duties to include service requests, break/fix, patch management (windows client/server estate), network configuration & monitoring, implementation, security, support and service management.
The real difference is the variety....candidates I placed here stay....why?.....they are NOT put into a silo'd role and allowed to get involved in new projects, tech and to be able to push boundaries.
I am looking for a bright, customer service centric techie, someone who can handle the tech but also has personality!
A breath of experience/exposure is important.
The main skills required are around Windows 7/10, AD, DNS, DHCP, MS MDT, network management, Firewalls, Backup Exec, Win server.
If you have any telephony or virtual platform experience this is a real advantage.
