Data Warehouse Developer
As leaders in retail gaming, we're constantly innovating and using the latest technology to stay ahead of the competition.
We care about giving our customers the best experience possible and understand how important a role technology plays, whether that's delivering new products direct to our customers, developing mobile applications for our staff to use, or delivering key insight to make our products better and our customers happier.
We are continually looking for the very best developers to join our teams and the best managers to lead them.
Our company is embarking on an exciting new phase in its life and at time when digital products are shaping the industry, there couldn't be a better time to join us!
We are seeking highly motivated and proactive individuals to build new high quality data solutions and manage the data architecture of our business.
You will have a very strong Data Warehouse development background and have a passion for data quality, data modelling and continual improvement. You will support, develop and maintain our data systems, right down to the source code, and work in a team alongside 6 other amazing SQL developers and DBAs.
Ideally you will have experience of building data solutions in an Agile way ensuring value is delivered early and built upon in successive releases and fully understand the practical aspects of Scrum.
We’ll give you a high degree of flexibility in the way you work and we'll expect you to come up with ideas for increasing the quality and frequency of your releases while eliminating wasteful processes as you go.
Software and hardware won’t restrict you; you'll be equipped with an incredibly powerful multi-screen PC and have all the latest software at your disposal.
The casual dress code and relaxed office atmosphere is great, we have a lot of fun, but your skills need to be sharp, as the other developers have set the bar very high. We need someone who lives and breathes technology, most likely outside of work too.
You’ll need to be a SQL Server and T-SQL expert having several years of experience with SSIS and ideally some with SSRS and SSAS. You’ll also need to have a solid understanding of Kimball or Data Vault data warehouse design patterns and a passion for data modelling and retaining knowledge.
You’ll report direct to the Data Platforms Manager and work in a wider Software Engineering team alongside application developers and testers. You’ll love that your colleagues have automated all their boring tasks including unit tests (xUnit), integration (TeamCity), deployment (Octopus) and testing (Ranorex) and will be excited to implement these techniques in your team.
It’s not all about technical skills though; you need to have great communication skills to work with our business colleagues and develop the new solutions with them. We’ll need you to accurately estimate your work and plan your project work effectively, and actively contribute to the documentation of our data solutions.
Now is the perfect time to join our team as we begin our omnichannel journey!
