Role: Field Sales Manager (High Value Technical Equipment)
Office Location: Leicestershire – you will be required travel to the office once or twice a week (we will consider all candidates within commutable distance – i.e. Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, West Midlands)
Salary: £30’000 - £40’000
Earning Potential: £60’000
Areas covered: UK Wide

The role:

-An exciting new opportunity has arisen, for a dynamic, ambitious individual, centred around the latest innovative technology. This is a key role within a growing organisation for the successful candidate to rapidly progress their career. Responsible for all aspects of sales in the UK, from application qualification to point of sale, configuration and training with end user.
-We are the exclusive UK sales agent. As a key member of our sales team, and reporting to the Sales Director, you will learn from a seconded sales manager for the first 12 months, in order to take ownership of the portfolio. The role will require regular contact with our customers Head Office to understand new products and applications, and with our marketing department to coordinate the promotion of the products and technology. It will involve around 3 days per week on the road and you will be expected to cover exhibitions and visit our customer in Austria as required.

Key responsibilities:

-Develop a thorough understanding of the product technology and applications
-Design, quote for and deliver appropriate solutions and user training
-Explain the technical and commercial justification for your solution
-Input into sales and marketing strategy for the product
-With the support of our in-house marketing and telesales team, explore new markets and generate leads
-Work to pre agreed KPI’s to achieve sales success

The Candidate:

-We are looking for a dynamic technical sales person with a background in selling high value capital equipment (£40’000 - £120’000) into the engineering and technical markets. Full training will be given on the specifics of the clients products but familiarity with our target markets will be a significant advantage.

Essential for this role:

-A track record of technical sales success and a drive to win orders
-Interest in the product and supporting technology
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to quickly understand customer requirements and identify suitable products
-IT skills sufficient to set up demonstrations and discuss integration of instruments with customer systems
-Full driving licence
