The Company:
The UK 's fastest growing supplier of branded team wear and accessories supplying brands such as Nike and adidas sportswear to sports teams, schools, colleges and Universities throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the World.

The Role:
The successful applicant will be working within a small and friendly team providing administrative support to the accounts manager, performing a variety of tasks with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies where necessary.

Working Hours:
The role is a part-time position, working 2-3 days a week (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 9.15am and 4.45pm.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Sales Ledger duties including:
• Reconcile the daily Visa takings to the PDQ X Read on to an Excel spreadsheet
• Reconcile the Visa takings to Sales Orders to ensure payments, amounts and records are correct
• Post the daily sales takings to customer ledgers ensuring accuracy
• Write up the cheque paying in book with cheques and cash received, then reconcile on to an Excel spreadsheet
• Post cheques/cash to customer ledgers
• Print Aged Debtors list, reconcile the report to customer ledger accounts and allocate invoices to cash received investigating any discrepancies on the ledgers.

Purchase Ledger duties including:
• Match supplier delivery notes to invoices
• File purchase invoices and prepare for month end posting to the supplier ledger accounts
• Post invoices to supplier ledgers
• Print purchase daybook and reconcile to the purchase files to ensure there are no invoices missed from posting
• Print aged creditors report and reconcile to supplier statements

Other general accounting and administration duties such as credit control, post and others as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Please note your application will only be considered if you have achieved the below:

• Educated to GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
• University education, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience in an accounts environment
• Accounting certification (e.g. AAT) is desirable

• Computer literate, including typing skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• High degree of self-motivation
• Can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
