Capel Manor College is London?s only Specialist College for land-based studies and an internationally renowned learning resource for all those interested in Horticulture, Animal Management, Saddlery, Arboriculture, Floristry, Garden Design, Countryside and the Environment.
The College are currently recruiting for an Animal Management Team Leader based at Enfield
Main Responsibilities:

To lead, manage and develop the curriculum area within the parameters set by the Head of Animal Management & Saddlery.
To work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to ensure a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement.
To promote high standards of teaching and learning within the area, producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added.
To act as Lead Internal Verifier at Enfield and to ensure all quality Assurance procedures are fully complied with.
To undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area ensuring a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promote new ways of teaching.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge requirements:

Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to work towards qualification
Relevant Level 5 vocational qualification or equivalent in an animal related subject
Experience of working in the Animal Care industry and a commitment to animal welfare
A proven record of delivering teaching and learning to a consistently high standard which demonstrates a commitment to ensuring quality of provision.
Experience of Further Education curriculum delivery planning and administration
Proven experience of motivating and organising self and others
Working knowledge of the curriculum specialisms offered in the section and by the College
Up to date knowledge of teaching and learning, managing challanging learner behaviour and motivating students
