Edstaff are a leading independent supply agency based in the North West, who are currently recruiting for a DT Teacher that specialists in resistant materials for one of our client schools in the Sefton area.

The position is to start on the 9th of April and will continue until the end of the Academic year.

This role would involve teaching mainly Resistant Materials to KS3&4 and is suitable for both experienced teachers and NQT's.

All candidates must hold QTS or QTLS and posses recent experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (references are required)

All applicants must either hold an up to date DBS disclosure on the update service or be prepared to undertake a full enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to placement

You will be required to undertake this role as if you where a permanent member of staff and will be welcomed as so by the team within the department. You will be responsible for teaching Science and will have the full responsibility of planning, preparing and marking all of your students work. Alongside this you will be required to ensure that pupils are on track to hit their projected grades, preparing them for exams and attending any after school meetings / parent's evenings as required.

You must be a team player as you will be working closely with other members department on a daily basis. You will also be working with teaching assistants in a number of classes so it is vital that you are able to utilize them and ensure that they are supporting any students that have additional needs.
