Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading global manufacturing and distribution business based in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for their UK head office operation. Currently turning over approximately £50 Million, the business continues to expand and develop and has exciting plans for the future so this is a great time to join the firm. The purpose of the role is to manage the financial accounting for the Group, ensuring preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial information; meeting all statutory reporting requirements; managing the group overheads; and treasury management including FX. Duties and responsibilities will include: - Consolidating the Group's financial results from operating companies in the UK, US, China and France; including: Monthly actuals, Quarterly re-forecasts and Annual budgets - Monthly Preparation of the Group Consolidated Finance Pack, including P & L, Balance Sheet and other financial reports - Preparation of the Statutory Accounts and Annual Report - Coordinate and manage the annual audit - Ensure all necessary filings are made with Companies House and HMRC - Oversee Company Treasury, including managing and applying the FX Policy and monitoring banking covenants - Manage and collate the Group's cash forecasting and reporting - Manage the Group operating company overheads so spend is controlled and to ensure value for money from the Group departments - Inter-company recharges and royalty payments, including reconciling the inter-company position - Manage the transfer pricing policy for the Group - Oversee the annual Corporation Tax computations - Oversee the transition of all operating companies onto SAP to automate consolidated reporting - Develop and continuously improve business reporting - Monitor the risk profile of the business and develop adequate controls to mitigate risks - Provide cover at Board Meetings in the absence of the Head of Finance and IT - Other ad -hoc reports as required by the business - Any other ad -hoc duties commensurate with the role The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - ACA/ACCA qualified - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications - Experience in SAP would be advantageous - Experience in a similar role - Experience of consolidating accounts from multiple territories - Foreign exchange and treasury experience - Manufacturing / retail industry experience would be highly desirable - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Able to organise and prioritise workload - Organised, analytical and logical; process driven - Able to work alone or as part of a team - Proactive and action orientated - High level of initiative - Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a leading and well-renowned organisation.
