The Company:
Manufacturer in the Instrumentation and Process Automation sector
The Role:
• Ensure full compliance with all Company Trade Compliance and Ethical Business policies and procedures and follow necessary procedures
• Develop strategies / annual business plan to ensure Project Team’s internal resources are aligned with changing market conditions and Country / BU strategic direction
• Attend Sales Operations Meetings and contribute to the discussion for the wider success of operations team
• Work with Project Pursuit Team closely to keep project lists updated at all times for S&OP process
• Manage and update monthly reporting and S&OP process
• Conduct sales forecast for projects and attend sales POR call on monthly basis
• Apply PMO project execution methodology to all relevant projects; actively participate in the continuous development and implementation of PMO, ensuring local applicability and adoption
• Support and develop the delivery of FIV, MIV and MAC type contracts as a single entity
• Increase scope and profitability of projects and project schedule control, minimize hidden discounts
• Work with and support the Project Managers & Project Engineers during various project phases to manage contractual obligations throughout the project cycle
• Interface with all stakeholders and build business partnerships with personnel in the customer project team
• Act as a point of escalation and attend customer/plant meetings
• Ensure all projects and proposal activities are adequately resourced
• Proactive management of project change and risk
• Lead and manage internal project execution meetings to ensure customer requirements are disseminated and clearly understood by all supporting groups
• Create opportunity to increase scope through best practice
• Provide project financial forecasts and metrics
• Support Project Pursuit teams and their activities as required
• Maximise opportunities for all company business units wherever possible
• Provide leadership to the project team members and promote team interaction & collaboration within a Virtual Remote Working environment
• Ensure all Team members complete mandatory training as required
• Identify and encourage self-development activities within the team and track development progress
• Provide continuous coaching to team members to ensure their full potentials are realised
• Execute and perform midyear and/or annual PEP reviews with all team members
• Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed
Requirements:
• Educated to HNC/Degree level in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Automation) or equivalent; and/or relevant experience in the industry
• Project Management experience, preferable
• PMI/PMP certification or equivalent
• LEAN awareness preferred
• Track record of effective team leadership and management required
• Measurement, Analytical and Final Control product knowledge, advantageous
• Proven track record of communicating effectively with customers on both technical and commercial issues
• Experience of working within a complex matrix organization advantageous
• Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis in order to fulfil the role (full driving license required)
• English fluency to business standard essential
• Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential
