BI Developer required by a well-known fintech organisation headquartered in Manchester. Due to a recent re-shuffle and a brand new CTO coming in, it is easily the best time to join them since their inception, with huge plans across data analytics and technology in general.

The Role:

You will be given the opportunity to really make your mark and influence the technology being used when it comes to business intelligence and data analytics.

At the moment the stack is relatively rudimentary, you may even call it functional but hardly ground breaking. However, with the new CTO in place, the recent hiring of a few Data Scientists, it is a big priority to change this.

As a result, they will take your advice on board when it comes what to use for reporting, visualisation and ETL processes. At the moment, they use a mix of open source technologies and databases, as well as more traditional relational databases such as Oracle.

A large part of this role will involve dealing with key stakeholders and allow them to understand what is going on within the business when it comes to data and reporting. You will be responsible for making sense of the data and presenting it in a meaningful way.

The Company:

A well respected fintech organisation who were founded in Manchester and are proud of their roots.

You will be joining a team of high calibre technical professionals, in particular a highly charismatic CTO who has been brought in to re-vamp the technology offering. He has already presented his strategy to the team and is now in the midst of delivering these changes.

They have ambitious plans to grow and underpinning all of that is going to be their technology platform - with data analytics playing a key role.

You:

You will be an experienced BI professional who is on the lookout for their next role. This isn't a run of the mill BI role where you can sit in a large team, with your work going un-noticed. You will have to be up for a challenge and be keen to have a real impact, working closely with the leadership team.

You will naturally look to use the latest tools and packages available when it comes to BI, suggesting how the company can improve what they are doing and the impact it could have.

Key Skills / Experience:

** Business Intelligence / BI

** Reporting Tools - SSRS / DBXtra / Crystal Reports / Business Objects / QlikView / Cognos

** Visualisation - Power BI / QlikView / Tableau

** ETL - SSIS / Pentaho / Tableau / Informatica / Cognos Framework Manager

** Kimball / OLAP / Agile

** Data Warehousing
